Music for Life
....and the Art of the Piano

Music has power. It can transport us to another time and place. It connects us with people both past and present. It reminds us that time changes - and that we change with it.
My connection with the piano started at a very young age. In attaining the L.Mus.A diploma and an Honours Degree in Performance I am fortunate to have worked with many wonderful teachers and colleagues. I must acknowledge my particular gratitude to the late Clemens Leske Senior who inspired and guided me through the advanced stages of my studies at Adelaide University. A wonderful pianist, pedagogue, scholar and gentleman - Clem has been a role model for music and life.
Through changing goals and life experiences, the piano has always been a constant in my journey, whether as a soloist, accompanist, teacher or passionate enthusiast. It has sustained me through periods when other priorities and responsibilities took precedence.

I take great joy in the challenges and opportunities for endless learning that the vast piano repertoire provides. In this site I am sharing some of the pieces I most enjoy playing, including some original compositions.
Whether you are a family member, friend, colleague or student, I hope my endeavours may find some connection with your own life journey with music.
